Franois Giboin Reserve which is made with XO-level cognacs and shows wonderful richness and texture, along with plenty of wood spice.
The Borderies is the region’s smallest cru: The soils have small pieces of flint and gypsum interspersed with limestone and a good amount of clay. Borderies as a region is known to produce the richest, and most rounded Cognacs. This is a Cognac that can be said has a bit of baby fat around the edges. Typical spirits from here often exhibit floral and nutty notes. The Martell house leans heavily on spirits from Borderies, especially for their higher-end blends. D&M Tasting Notes
