Bottled in 2018. Oak casks. Aromas of baked apple, caramel drizzle and baking spices. The Palate has more texture, and is balanced with savory notes turning to more sweet notes of apple and caramel. The is nice baking spice, with a note of chocolate on the back finish. D&M Tasting Notes
Christian Drouin, père, began distilling Calvados in 1960 after purchasing a farmhouse and surrounding orchards, only to find little demand for his apples. Luckily a family friend with his portable still came to the rescue. The mobile stills built in 1947 are still in use at the Drouin estate, where they found their permanent home.
Double distillation in a copper pot still. Aged in calvados casks. Light amber color. An appetizing nose with aromas of apple, butter and vanilla. Generous and well-rounded on the palate, final pastry notes.
