• Chateau de Pibarnon 2018 Bandol

This is made up of around 65% Mourvedre with the remainder being Cinsault. The Mourvedre sees around an hour of skin contact with the Cinsault is free run juice. The nose shows orange peel, strawberry, apricot, light florals and just there mineral cut. The palate is complex with almost a degree of tannin to this with a gorgeous mix of a summer's garden and a just there mineral note. One of the Best Bandols, and it shows. D&M Tasting Notes

Glistening orange. Pungent cherry, blood orange and floral scents, along with suggestions of succulent herbs and chalky minerals. Weighty red berry, citrus fruit and candied lavender flavors show sharp delineation and pick up a deeper peach note with aeration. Silky and broad on the impressively long finish, which leaves a refreshingly bitter orange pith note behind. 92 Points  Josh Raynolds, Vinous August 2019

Since purchasing the estate in 1975, Eric de Saint-Victor has been producing some of the most seductively aromatic and nobly structured wines in all of Southern France. Perched atop the highest and northernmost part of the appellation, the Château commands sweeping vistas of the amphitheater of vines and the Mediterranean Sea. Importer Notes
