The 1995 shows a deep amber with gold highlights. The aromas are earthy with notes of tobacco, plum, toffee, vanilla and spice. The palate has a medium to full-bodied texture with additional notes of orange peel and leather. The finish on this bottling is very long, with the well-integrated alcohol pushing the flavors across the balanced palate.  D&M Tasting Notes

Nine generations on, the chateau still lies in the hands of the descendants of Raoul, the de Luze family. The label has remained the same since it was designed by Baron Raoul, this is a family that believes in the long arc of tradition.  A single barrel of pure Baco distilled in 1995. This spirit was distilled under the supervision of Gilles de Luze, who would die less than a decade later in a tragic automobile accident. Today his son Stephane holds the reins of the château and continues to uphold the traditions begun on this historic property over Six Centuries ago.
