Cain Five 2009 Spring Mountain Napa Valley Red Wine

Library Release. 2009 was an extraordinary vintage in Napa and the maturity that this wine possesses is fantastic. The nose shows a soft and approachable character of plum, currant and just there pepper notes with a touch of the Brett that Cain is known for (it is kept quite well in check.) The palate is balanced between its primary and its secondary with black fruits, some pepper and bay leaf and a bit of cedar to balance it out. Delightful! D&M Tasting Notes

 A fascinating wine with dark berries, spice, sliced raw meat and minerals. Black berries. It changes all the time. Full body with spice, black pepper, blueberry, mushroom and walnut. Seaweed. Goes on for minutes. 96 Points James Suckling
