Bichi 2021 Nicky Snicky

Baja California, Mexico. Rosa del Pero on sandy soils in Tecate. This does have a bit of RS from a stuck fermentation. The nose shows a soft and sweet style with cherry and light raspberry. The palate is light with just there spice and a bit of easy going red fruits. This is a Zero/Zero wine no yeast or sulfur additions. D&M Tasting Notes

Bichi, founded in 2014 by Noel Téllez and his brother, chef Jair Téllez, and now run solely by Noel, is one of the first natural wine labels to come out of Mexico's Valle de Guadalupe. Téllez is known for his rule-bending approach to wine, embracing unknown grape varietals and choosing idiosyncratic labels featuring colorful — and naked — luchadores.
