Bapt & Clem's 6 Year Dominican Republic Rum

The nose is open and soft with aromas of barrel spices, maple syrup, clove, nutmeg, and some soft caramel. The palate has a nice presence and viscosity with a balance of sweetness, spice, and just there forest floor. D&M Tasting Notes

Began aging in the Dominican Republic in bourbon casks, then since October 2020, they have finished their aging in barrels from a Sauternes property. 

Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos (AFD) is an AGROINDUSTRIA dedicated to the production of rums from Dominican sugar cane juice. The company is certified 97% green, which is extremely rare. AFD is a pioneer in the sector thanks to direct management of locally-sourced sugar cane and its distillation. This distillery supplies most of the leading brands of Dominican Republic rums (Barcello, Canaveral or Siboney). This 6-year-old Bapt & Clems rum began ageing in bourbon casks in the Dominican Republic. Since October 2020, it has been ageing in the Darroze cellars in Gascony in Sauternes barriques. These last months have refined what began as a terrifically dry rum, bringing roundness and complexity without adding any sugar. Importer Notes
